Marina Fragoulis is an accomplished violinist and educator, and has taught in the public school system as a New York City Teaching Fellow since 2002 and a Teaching Artist for Midori & Friends since 2006. She appears as a soloist, chamber musician and concertmaster in orchestras throughout the tri-state area and appears annually in festivals in the U.S and abroad. Ms. Fragoulis is the Artistic Director of Dorian Baroque, a conductorless chamber orchestra that performs on period instruments and demonstrates the performance practices of the 17th and 18th centuries. The orchestra debuted in June 2012 and has since presented orchestral, chamber, and choral concerts. It has been featured every year at the Manhattan School of Music’s Voice Festival in fully staged operas by Cavalli and Monteverdi.
