Midori & Friends’ Children’s Music Festival, in partnership with the Sony Wonder Technology Lab presents - Guitarfest! Join us for exciting concerts in the Sony Plaza, featuring professional and young guitarists performing a wide range of music including classical, jazz, flamenco, and traditional. Highlights include guest artists Ben Verdery and 1 East Guitar Quartet, as well as performances on African ngone, Chinese pipa, oud, Middle Eastern oud. Enjoy hands on activities merging music and technology, art workshops, opportunities to try guitars, as well as a guitar display provided by Sam Ash. Guitar games, book signings, raffles, round out the day! No reservation is required for Sony Plaza activities. Concerts and art workshops on first come, first served basis. Sunday, May 31, 12-4. Sony Wonder Technology Lab, 550 Madison Avenue (use East 56th Street Entrance).
